Manufacturing Engineer Ready to shape the future of aerospace manufacturing? We're seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to join our Bankstown facility and play a key role in supporting and improving our production capabilities. In this role, you will drive process improvements, support manufacturing operations and work closely with cross-functional teams to enhance efficiency and product quality within a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Responsibilities Develop and improve manufacturing processes by analysing products, production methods and workflows to implement best practice and innovative engineering solutions Provide design-for-manufacture input during design reviews, production methods and quality processes to ensure products are optimized for efficient manufacture Collaborate with suppliers across various programs to develop materials and manufacturing processes that support efficient, repeatable, and sustainable production outcomes Support manufacturing teams with practical engineering solutions that improve efficiency, quality and process performance Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize product manufacturability and production flow Perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for manufacturing issues Lead or support new capital equipment acquisition, installation, and commissioning projects, as well as supporting major repairs for existing assets Contribute to factory layout planning that meets program requirements, optimizes efficiency, and provides optimized production flow Qualifications Bachelor’s Degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, Engineering (or equivalent) 5+ years’ experience in a manufacturing, aerospace or defence environment Computer-assisted engineering or design software Working knowledge of complex manufacturing processes Lean manufacturing methodologies Benefits Competitive remuneration package Flexible and life-friendly work practices Respect and recognition program Health and wellbeing benefits including access to an Employee Assistance Program and private health discounts Career and professional development opportunities Salary packaging and novated lease options Purchase additional annual leave Embark on your learning journey in the Quickstep Learning Academy (QLA) 16 weeks paid parental leave Quickstep recognizes that diversity is a key asset to our workforce and therefore strives to achieve and maintain a strong diverse workforce where diversity is valued and encouraged.
