Position Title DFV Case Manager – Refuge & Outreach Number of Positions Available 2 About The Role This is a full-time position classified in accordance with the SCHADS Award Level 5. Due to the nature of this service, to identify as a woman is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under s.31 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW). How You Will Make An Impact Provide welcoming and responsive support to women seeking assistance in refuge and community settings. Deliver culturally safe and appropriate support to First Nations women and families. Build strong therapeutic relationships that encourage self-determination and participation. Undertake ongoing risk assessments, safety planning, and case management. Develop and review individual case plans in partnership with clients. Support clients to access housing, health, legal, financial, and community services. Advocate on behalf of clients and strengthen referral pathways with external agencies. Provide outreach support to women transitioning into stable accommodation. Maintain accurate client records and case notes in line with organizational standards. Participate in team meetings, supervision, training, and community engagement activities. Contribute to the day-to-day operations of the refuge, including intake and recovery activities. Participate in an after-hours on-call roster as required. What You Will Bring Qualifications in Social Work, Psychology, Community Services, or a related field. Demonstrated experience working within the domestic and family violence sector. Strong knowledge of DFV risk assessment, safety planning, case management, and recovery-oriented practice. Experience working with clients experiencing complex needs, including mental health and alcohol and other drug (AOD) concerns. Understanding of trauma-informed and culturally safe practice. Ability to work collaboratively with clients, stakeholders, and external service providers. Excellent communication, documentation, and relationship-building skills. A current Driver’s Licence. Current Working with Children Check and National Police Check (or willingness to obtain). Benefits NFP salary packaging ($15,900 tax free) plus meals and entertainment benefit ($2,650).
