About the Role Lead Engagement Officer – guide restorative work for people in the redress scheme, leading a small team and shaping restorative practice across the department. Lead a small team to support people through a sensitive process. Help people tell their story and seek meaningful outcomes. Shape how restorative work grows across the department. Work in a role with purpose, care and strong team support. Fixed‑term, full‑time role until 13 April 2028, earning $116,413 – $140,849 per year (as of 1 May 2026), plus super. What you will do As Lead Engagement Officer you will guide restorative work and lead a team to support safe, fair and thoughtful processes. Lead safe and effective restorative processes for participants. Support people through each stage with care and clarity. Manage facilitators to deliver high‑quality services. Write clear and sensitive apology responses for each person. Build strong relationships and improve program practice. About you You hold a relevant degree in psychology, social work, human services or law, or have five years of related experience. Experience in victim support or government work is helpful. Qualifications Strong knowledge of restorative justice and trauma‑informed care. Proven skill leading teams supporting people through harm. Ability to write clear, accurate reports and responses.
