About the Role We’re seeking an experienced and motivated Health, Safety, Environment & Training Superintendent to join the team full‑time (8/6 roster). The role is integral to delivering safe, productive, and efficient underground mining operations at the Bellevue Gold Mine and supporting its continued success and expansion. Day‑to‑Day Responsibilities Lead implementation and continuous improvement of safety systems aligned with Barminco’s and Bellevue’s HSET strategies. Act as a trusted HSET partner to the Project Manager and site leadership, enabling capability development and risk ownership. Support and coach the HSET team to become empowered partners, aligned with internal coaching and leadership development models. Operationalise the risk‑management framework by ensuring critical risks and controls are visible, understood, and monitored through robust assurance processes. Leverage data and technology to enable insight‑driven action and support smarter, real‑time safety decision‑making. Foster cross‑functional collaboration and open communication between site, client, and central HSE functions. Drive safety leadership in the field by embedding routines and rituals that reinforce ownership of HSE outcomes. Desired Background & Qualifications Extensive experience in HSET, with proven leadership in fostering HSET systems, learning cultures, and empowering teams. Understanding of high‑risk work environments and systemic HSET challenges. Experience facilitating investigations focusing on organisational failings. Proficiency in data‑driven decision‑making tools prioritising learning, feedback loops, and continuous improvement.
