The Company Our client is a sizeable and well-regarded not-for-profit organisation with a meaningful purpose and a strong presence in the Melbourne market. Based close to the CBD, they offer a supportive working environment, a collaborative finance team, and excellent flexibility, with the potential to work from home up to 3–4 days per week once settled. Due to a period of change and ongoing process improvement within the finance function, they are now seeking an experienced Accounts Payable & Receivable Manager to join on an interim basis. The role is initially expected to run for 3–6 months, with a genuine possibility of becoming permanent. The Position This is a hands‑on leadership role overseeing the day‑to‑day operations of the accounts payable, accounts receivable and credit card functions. You will lead a team of approximately eight people, helping to manage workflow, resolve queries, monitor performance, and ensure the team continues to deliver accurate and timely outcomes. While the role has broader oversight across financial operations, the key focus will be on accounts payable, where there is a high volume of activity and a need for someone who can confidently step in, understand the detail, resolve complex issues, and help improve processes.
