Role Overview As Lead/Staff Product Designer you will lead end‑to‑end design across complex product areas, translating strategy into intuitive, scalable and engaging experiences for creators, viewers and moderators. You will partner with Product and Engineering to define priorities, shape the roadmap and mentor the design team to raise the bar for design impact and maturity across KICK. What you will do: Lead the full design process, from discovery and problem framing through to delivery and iteration. Design high‑quality, scalable experiences across KICK’s live‑streaming platform, supporting creators, viewers and moderators. Translate complex requirements into engaging user‑focused solutions. Uphold a high standard of visual and interaction design, ensuring consistency with KICK’s design system and brand identity. Conduct or collaborate on user research, competitive analysis and usability testing to validate design hypotheses. Translate user insights and business requirements into actionable design decisions that enhance engagement, reduce friction and drive measurable outcomes. Present design work confidently to cross‑functional stakeholders and executive leadership, communicating rationale, trade‑offs and expected impact with clarity and conviction. Work cross‑functionally with Design, Product and Engineering stakeholders to shape roadmap priorities and define what success looks like to ensure alignment between design and business objectives. Balance competing priorities across multiple user personas (e.g. viewer/ creator), ensuring each interface serves its specific audience while maintaining platform coherence. Design for scale and internationalisation, considering global audiences, varied content types and platform growth. Embrace experimentation and innovation, pushing the boundaries of what’s possible through your interface design. Mentor and coach designers across levels, raising overall team capability and design maturity. Help foster an inclusive, curious, and collaborative environment where great ideas can thrive. What you will bring: 10+ years of experience in product design, with proven end‑to‑end ownership of design projects. Interest or knowledge in streaming, gaming, or emerging technologies such as AI. Self‑starter who thrives in a fast‑paced environment, balancing multiple projects and priorities. High‑quality UX and UI craft with accessibility best practices (WCAG 2.1 AA). Strong communicator who can clearly articulate design decisions and rationale. Analytical and strategic mindset, able to connect design work to business and product outcomes through relevant metrics. Expert proficiency in Figma, with strong responsive web design expertise. Proven experience with developer handoff including detailed specifications, redlines and comprehensive documentation. Bonus points if you also have: Experience designing for omnichannel environments, including mobile and TV apps. Sports, gambling or cryptocurrency knowledge.
