About the role The successful candidate will lead field crews, coordinate site activities, ensure compliance with project specifications and electrical safety requirements, and maintain high standards of workmanship and safety. Key responsibilities include: Supervise and coordinate High Voltage construction and installation activities. Perform and supervise High Voltage cable terminations, jointing, testing, and commissioning activities in accordance with project specifications and industry standards. Ensure compliance with project specifications, drawings, and relevant Australian Standards. Implement and maintain compliance with Electrical Safety Rules, SWMS, permits, and site procedures. Coordinate daily site activities, plant, equipment, subcontractors, and materials. Conduct pre-starts, toolbox talks, and safety inspections. Liaise with clients, network operators, project managers, and stakeholders. Monitor project progress and productivity to meet program requirements. Ensure all works are completed to a high standard of quality and safety. Assist with planning outages, switching schedules, and energisation activities. What you'll bring Previous experience supervising High Voltage electrical works. Current HV Switching Operator certification (HVSO). Strong understanding of HV/LV electrical infrastructure and underground utilities. Ability to interpret electrical drawings and specifications. Construction White Card. Current Driver’s Licence. Strong leadership, communication, and organisational skills. Commitment to workplace safety and quality outcomes. Electrical Trade Qualification. Experience on utility, renewable, substations, or major infrastructure projects. First Aid and CPR certification. EWP, Dogging, or other relevant tickets/licences.
