At Cirql, we don't focus on industry specifics - our core specialisation is partnering with middle-market organisations that are experiencing change. Our client is a leading, healthcare business based in Melbourne’s inner suburbs. Committed to providing essential health services, they operate in a dynamic and patient-driven environment where every team member contributes to positive patient outcomes. Defined by agility and a collaborative culture, this organization is navigating a transformative period of industry disruption. As the business enters a new chapter focused on operational refinement and corporate capability, there is a clear mandate for a high-performing finance professional to help secure its long-term sustainability. Following significant structural shifts, the organization's immediate priority is maturing internal processes to ensure the continued delivery of tangible value to the public. This role offers a unique opportunity to make a measurable impact within a complex landscape of government funding and region-driven service delivery. The Opportunity Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Finance Business Partner is a pivotal interim role designed to lead the end-to-end delivery of the annual budget cycle. This 6-month engagement comes at a critical juncture as the business moves toward a more robust, data-driven financial model. You will be responsible for executing both bottom-up and top-down budget builds, ensuring that financial plans are aligned with the organisations strategic objectives and operational realities. This is a hands-on technical and collaborative role. You will act as the bridge between the commercial finance team and operational leaders, navigating complex cost structures to build a transparent and accountable budget. While initially an interim project, there is a strong likelihood of this role transitioning into a permanent position as the new finance structure takes shape. What You’ll Do Your primary objective is to lead the development of a comprehensive budget that provides the executive team with a clear roadmap for the coming financial year. You will spend your time navigating the intersection of technical system management and stakeholder engagement. Lead the design and execution of the bottom-up and top-down budget build, focusing on operational expenditure (OPEX) and capital expenditure (CAPEX) requirements. Act as the functional lead for the budgeting tool, Adaptive Insights, ensuring data integrity and optimizing the interface with Dynamics 365 (D365). Partner closely with the Commercial Finance team and operational managers to gather inputs, validate assumptions, and ensure buy-in for budget targets. Develop complex financial models to test various scenarios, providing the Commercial Manager and CFO with insights into the drivers of financial performance. Identify and implement enhancements to the budgeting process, moving away from manual workarounds toward automated, scalable workflows within Adaptive. Prepare detailed budget packs and presentations for senior leadership, highlighting key risks, opportunities, and variances in the proposed financial plan. What You’ll Bring We are looking for a Finance Business Partner who is comfortable operating in an evolving and transforming. You are someone who enjoys the detective work of a budget build - finding the data, questioning the status quo, and assembling a cohesive financial story. CA, CPA, or CIMA qualification is highly regarded. Experience with Adaptive Insights and familiarity in Microsoft Dynamics 365 is viewed as a significant advantage. A proven track record of leading complex budget cycles within mid-to-large sized organisations, ideally within the health, NFP, or government-funded sectors. Superior Excel skills and the ability to build and maintain sophisticated financial models that are both robust and easy for non-finance stakeholders to understand. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate with stakeholders who may not have a finance background. An agile and mature approach to change, maintaining momentum and professional integrity during periods of structural transition and ambiguity. Not sure if you meet these requirements? Please apply - we are happy to discuss your individual circumstances. #J-18808-Ljbffr
