A leading organisation operating within a complex technology and critical infrastructure environment is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to join its high performing legal team. This role advises across privacy, data governance and technology-related matters arising across major commercial, operational and regulatory initiatives within the business. This is an opportunity to join a highly regarded and collaborative legal team with strong executive engagement, genuine breadth of work and exposure to large-scale technology, cyber, consumer and infrastructure matters within a sophisticated and evolving environment. Responsibilities Advise on privacy, data governance and technology-related legal matters across enterprise and consumer business functions Support the business in relation to Privacy Act reforms and evolving regulatory obligations Advise on data handling, data sharing, cross-border transfer and cyber/privacy risk matters Draft and negotiate privacy and data-related provisions within commercial, technology and supplier agreements Partner closely with cyber, technology, procurement and data teams on strategic projects and operational initiatives Support incident response and privacy risk management matters where required Advise on emerging legal issues relating to AI, digital platforms and data governance Deliver commercially pragmatic legal advice within a fast-moving and highly regulated environment About You 6+ PQE gained within a leading law firm and/or sophisticated in-house environment Experience advising on privacy, data protection, technology or regulatory matters Experience within technology, consumer, infrastructure or other complex regulated environments highly regarded Strong commercial contracting and stakeholder management capability Ability to operate autonomously while partnering effectively across large, matrixed organisations Commercially minded with a practical and solutions-focused approach For a confidential discussion, please contact Aislyn Jennings, Practice Lead - Legal & Governance, at #J-18808-Ljbffr
