The Registered Nurse practices as per the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) policy and guidelines regarding nursing scope of practice. They are a member of the multidisciplinary team who work closely with residents and their families or representatives. They are expected to be role models, complete day-to-day tasks and report any issues and adverse events to the Clinical Care Co‑ordinator. They will work closely with staff and assist them in undertaking assessments, treatment, documentation and activities. They will have a number of years' experience in aged care settings and have the ability to work independently. The Registered Nurse will have an important role in providing leadership to staff and be expected to lead in the provision of quality care to residents by ensuring the delivery of skilled, individualised care to the highest possible professional standard. Requirements for certification and credentials Evidence of a current Police Record Check or NIDS worker clearance.
