Overview Position supports the management of Kakadu National Park with an emphasis on fire management and collaboration with Traditional Owners. Responsibilities Lead the planning, delivery, and continuous improvement of biodiversity and culturally focused fire management activities across Kakadu National Park. Provide specialist operational and technical advice to the Country Manager, Park Manager and park leadership to support risk-based decision-making, stakeholder engagement and fire management objectives. Coordinate and deliver strategic prescribed burning programmes and fire response and suppression activities across park districts. Facilitate the exchange of knowledge, experience and skills between Indigenous and non‑Indigenous staff, the community and the public. Qualifications & Requirements Australian citizen. Baseline Vetting security clearance. Relevant mandatory qualifications—units of competency required or the ability to obtain them. Experience in fire management, biodiversity conservation, or related environmental roles.
