As our business continues to grow, we are seeking a hands‑on Fabrication Supervisor to support and coordinate our fabrication workshop team in Perth. This role is ideally suited to a senior boilermaker, fabricator or leading hand looking to step into their first formal supervisory position within a stable, workshop‑based environment. ABOUT THE ROLE This is a full‑time leadership position responsible for supporting the day‑to‑day coordination of fabrication activities across our Perth workshop. Working closely with the Workshop Manager and production team, you will help ensure fabrication work is completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard while maintaining a positive and productive workshop culture. This is a hands‑on role suited to someone who still enjoys being on the floor, supporting the team and helping jobs move through the workshop successfully. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Support and coordinate daily fabrication workshop activities Lead by example and assist in mentoring tradespeople, apprentices and trade assistants Help allocate work in line with production schedules and workshop priorities Monitor workflow and assist in keeping projects progressing efficiently Ensure fabrication work meets engineering drawings and quality standards Promote safe work practices and positive workshop behaviours Work closely with machining, assembly and project teams to support production outcomes Assist with fabrication work and practical problem‑solving when required Identify opportunities to improve workshop efficiency and processes Support blasting and painting coordination associated with fabricated components Prepare and organise workshop job packs and related documentation Monitor and assist with ordering workshop consumables and materials Support stocktake activities and general workshop organisation Assist with maintaining accurate job costing and workshop reporting information Coordinate and follow up Non‑Conformance Reports (NCRs) where required Conduct toolbox meetings and communicate workshop priorities and safety expectations Support the maintenance and upkeep of workshop equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation ABOUT YOU To be successful in this role, you will ideally have: Trade qualification in Boilermaking / Fabrication Strong hands‑on fabrication workshop experience Experience as a leading hand, senior tradesperson or emerging supervisor The ability to lead by example and earn respect through actions Good communication and people skills Strong understanding of engineering drawings and fabrication processes A practical, organised and solutions‑focused approach A positive attitude and willingness to support the wider workshop team Experience with mining equipment, heavy engineering fabrication, blasting or painting processes will be highly regarded, but is not essential.
