We’re looking for an experienced Performance Manager to lead passenger screening operations at Sydney Airport’s International Terminal—driving performance, compliance, and workforce readiness in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment. Job Impact This is a critical leadership role responsible for the end-to-end performance of security screening operations—balancing safety, service delivery, compliance, and commercial outcomes. You’ll lead a large frontline team, optimise workforce deployment, and partner closely with stakeholders to ensure queue times, throughput, and customer experience targets are consistently achieved. Your Role People Leadership and Culture Lead, coach, and develop frontline leaders and screening teams Build capability, high-performance culture and strong safety behaviours Operational & Financial Performance Deliver against key KPIs, manage labour costs and minimise unrecovered spend Run daily performance rhythms using live data and reporting Identify and resolve operational bottlenecks in real time Workforce Planning Align workforce supply with demand, including peak and disruption planning Manage day-of-operations staffing to maintain service outcomes Compliance & Assurance Maintain full compliance with aviation security regulations and WHS requirements Ensure operations are audit-ready with accurate documentation and evidence Lead audits, system tests, and close corrective actions effectively Stakeholder Engagement Partner with airport stakeholders on performance and service delivery Provide transparent reporting, insights, and recommendations Build strong, trusted relationships across operational and regulatory teams What you’ll bring Proven leadership of large, operational frontline teams Understanding of Industrial relations and managing a front line workforce Strong experience delivering KPIs in highly regulated environments Demonstrated ability to manage compliance, audits, and safety performance Commercial acumen with experience managing labour costs and efficiency Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Diversity Statement Within Certis Australia, we believe our strength lies in the diversity of our people.
