Position Overview Solicitor – Band 1 Competition, Regulation & Trade (Melbourne). Under the leadership of Partners Sarah Benbow and Jared Peut, you will work with leading domestic and international organisations across competition, consumer law and regulatory work, including cartel and behavioural investigations, litigation, merger clearances and regulatory advice. As part of an integrated national team, you will also collaborate closely with Sydney Partners Linda Evans, Liza Carver, Patrick Gay, Patrick Clark and Stephanie Panayi, gaining unparalleled learning and career development opportunities. Qualifications 3–5 years’ experience in a leading private practice firm or relevant regulator experience in Australia. In‑depth experience in competition and/or consumer and regulatory law, ideally in both advisory and contentious work. Excellent academic record and natural commitment to continuous learning. Strong communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work to tight time‑frames, collaboratively and at times autonomously. Curiosity about clients’ businesses and the ability to build relationships with clients and internal stakeholders to support the growth of the practice.
