Position Purpose Based in our Sydney CBD Head Office, the Private Wealth Adviser will provide tailored financial advice and exceptional client service. This role focuses on maintaining and growing long‑term client relationships through a comprehensive understanding of client goals, financial strategies and compliance standards. You will play a vital role in client engagement, advice preparation, and implementation while supporting the continued growth success of the Capital Haus Group. Your time will be focused on helping service the large existing book and building your own client book. You will have the opportunity to provide advice to both Wholesale and Retail clients. You will work alongside a team of highly‑skilled Private Wealth Advisers and have access to market leading investment products, services and ideas. The role is fully supported by internal administrative support, para‑planning and compliance functions so that you can spend your time in front of your clients and provide you the opportunity for limitless growth. Key Responsibilities Conduct discovery meetings, gather client information, and assist in developing tailored financial strategies, with dedicated support staff to assist you with the back‑end. Prepare high‑quality Statement of Advice (SOA) documents, Investment Policy Statement (IPS) documents as well as Record of Advice (ROA). Provide investment updates and market analysis to our clients. Maintain accurate and compliant client records in line with internal and regulatory requirements. Coordinate with paraplanners, support staff, internal staff from other offices and external partners to ensure smooth client outcomes. Contribute to business development initiatives and client retention strategies to ensure you maintain and importantly grow your existing client book. Stay up to date with financial markets, legislative changes and industry trends. Act as a key representative of Capital Haus Group in the community, fostering trust and brand reputation. Key Skills and Attributes Strong organisational and time management skills. Excellent communication skills with a confident and professional manner. High attention to detail and accuracy with strong analytical and problem‑solving ability. Positive, proactive attitude with a willingness to learn. Self‑motivated with the ability to manage competing priorities and work in a fast‑paced environment. Ability to work independently but also a proven ability to work collaboratively in a small, close‑knit team. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook). Strong interpersonal and relationship management skills. High level of financial literacy and technical competence, specifically retirement planning, SMSF and investment advice. Strong understanding of compliance and ethical obligations within financial advice. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor’s Degree in Financial Planning, Commerce, or a related discipline. Completion of FASEA and professional year requirements. Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Private Wealth Adviser or an experienced Associate Adviser looking to take the next step. RG146 compliant with demonstrated technical knowledge, ADFP or CFP preferred. Existing client book that can be integrated into our business highly desired. Previous experience as an Adviser to Wholesale clients desired but not essential. Strong understanding of investment markets and stockbroking, with knowledge of MDA portfolio’s desirable. Previous experience with Openmarkets and Praemium highly desired. Proficiency in financial planning software (Xplan desired) and Microsoft Office suite.
