Graduate Accountant Location: Dandenong South, VIC About the Opportunity An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated Graduate Accountant to join our Global Corporate Head Office based in Dandenong South. Working alongside our Senior Finance team, this is a varied and hands-on role where you will support financial processes and contribute to reporting across a group of companies and trusts. Daniels is a large international business operating across Australia, USA, UK, Canada and South Africa. Our work spans manufacturing, transport, distribution and the treatment of healthcare waste. We also manage a growing investment and property portfolio, along with two major charitable foundations with over $50m invested. Why Work for Daniels Global business with exposure to international operations and multiple entities Hands-on graduate role with real responsibility from day one Opportunity to work across diverse areas including healthcare, investments and property Work closely with an experienced and supportive finance team Stable, growing organisation with a strong reputation in the healthcare sector Purpose-driven work contributing to safer healthcare outcomes What Daniels Can Offer You Structured learning and on-the-job training within a global finance team Support and encouragement to complete your CPA or CA Exposure to complex business structures including trusts, investments and multi-entity reporting Career progression opportunities within a growing international organisation A collaborative team environment where your development is a priority Opportunity to build strong technical and commercial accounting skills early in your career Key Responsibilities Financial Reporting Prepare monthly reporting packs and associated reports for assigned entities Assist with actual and forecast cash flow reporting General Ledger and Reconciliations Process month-end journals Perform balance sheet reconciliations and analysis Maintain fixed asset registers Process and reconcile intercompany transactions Reconcile non-operating entities on a quarterly basis Prepare weekly and monthly bank reconciliations (local and foreign currency) Compliance Assist with preparation of BAS returns across multiple jurisdictions Ad Hoc Support Prepare reports as required by management Support the wider finance team as needed What We’re Looking For Skills and Qualifications Degree in Accounting Strong Excel skills Good understanding of reconciliations and financial principles Strong analytical skills and attention to detail Excellent written and verbal communication skills Confident using Microsoft Office and finance systems Ability to adapt and work in a changing environment Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a team Willingness to undertake CPA or CA Personal Attributes Reliable and accountable Curious with a desire to understand the detail behind the numbers Proactive and eager to learn Collaborative and team-oriented #J-18808-Ljbffr
