Director of Sport Sport at Melbourne Grammar School is a central part of the School’s educational offering, fostering physical development, teamwork, resilience and a strong sense of belonging. The Director of Sport is responsible for the strategic leadership and effective operation of the School’s sports programme across Grimwade House, Wadhurst and the Senior School. This senior leadership position covers approximately 1,470 student participants from Year 5 to Year 12 and leads a broad team of staff across all campuses. Responsibilities Lead the strategic vision and delivery of a cohesive whole‑school sports program that fosters participation, performance, and excellence across all campuses. Inspire a culture of professionalism, accountability, and continuous improvement among Heads of Sport, coaches and staff. Oversee the planning, coordination and performance of an extensive inter‑school and co‑curricular sports programme, ensuring alignment with student wellbeing and School priorities. Drive innovation and program development through data, evaluation and feedback, while supporting the growth and capability of staff and coaches. Foster a vibrant and inclusive sporting culture that strengthens engagement, builds community connection, and promotes lifelong participation in physical activity. Qualifications and Requirements Valid VIT or Working with Children Check, or ability to obtain one. Experience in sports administration and leadership in a school setting.
