Graduate Nurse and Midwifery Program 2027 Dual degree Midwifery and Nursing Stream Registered Midwife / Nurse Grade 212 months Fixed Term commencing February 2027 32 hours per week Program consists of a full-year midwifery unit placement, incorporating a three-month Operating Theatre mentorship rotation of one supernumerary day per week as part of the graduate programme’s nursing hours. Eligibility A Victorian-trained Midwifery/Nurse Graduate (citizen/permanent resident) A current Victorian resident – Distance Education Midwifery/Nurse Graduate An Australian Interstate Trained Midwifery Graduate (citizen/permanent resident) A New Zealand-trained Midwifery/Nurse Graduate (citizen/permanent resident) You must also: Be eligible for registration as a Registered Midwife/Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia prior to commencement of graduate year. Have not previously participated in a Graduate Nurse or Graduate Midwifery Programme Have completed your Midwifery/Nurse degree by December 2026 academic year. IMPORTANT: All staff employed in the healthcare/aged care sector are required to be fully (3 doses) vaccinated for COVID-19 and Influenza (unless a valid exemption applies). Evidence of vaccination (or exemption) will be required to be provided prior to commencement.
