Hussey Corp is a locally owned contractor delivering projects, plant and trades across Queensland and Northern Australia. We are seeking a HSEQ Coordinator to support operations across mining, civil, construction and maintenance projects in Weipa. This role will have a strong focus on managing project QA systems, compliance documentation and operational reporting, while also supporting day-to-day HSE requirements across active projects. The position will work closely with supervisors, project teams and clients to maintain compliance, quality and project documentation standards. Key Responsibilities Conduct site inspections, audits and workplace observations Manage QA documentation, registers and compliance systems Review SWMS, JSEA’s, permits and project documentation Assist with incident investigations and corrective actions Support NCR tracking, audits and close‑out requirements Maintain project records, reporting and workforce compliance documentation Support onboarding, mobilisation and training compliance Participate in toolbox talks, pre-starts and safety meetings Liaise with supervisors, operational teams and clients regarding HSEQ requirements About You Minimum 2 years’ experience in a HSEQ, QA or compliance role Experience within mining, civil, construction or related industries Strong understanding of QA systems, compliance and project documentation Experience with audits, inspections and reporting processes Strong organisational skills and attention to detail Able to manage documentation and operational requirements across multiple projects Strong communication and reporting capability Practical and hands‑on approach to safety and compliance Essential Qualifications Certificate IV in Work Health & Safety or similar qualification Current Australian Driver Licence Ability to obtain a National Police Check Ability to pass a pre‑employment medical if required Desirable Return to Work Coordinator certification ICAM or incident investigation training Exposure to ISO‑aligned management systems #J-18808-Ljbffr
