Location: North Sydney, New South Wales, AU Your new role As National Pharmacy Strategy & Partnerships Manager, you will set the national channel strategy, build partnerships with leading pharmacy groups, and create the commercial model, activation approach and ways of working needed to make pharmacy a sustainable growth channel for Novo Nordisk Australia. Sitting on the Cardiometabolic Sales leadership team, you will work across the business to deliver commercial impact with the highest standards of quality, ethics and compliance. Day‑to‑day responsibilities Defining, owning and executing the national pharmacy channel strategy, including the operating model, annual planning, investment prioritisation, KPI frameworks and performance cadence Building and leading senior‑level partnerships with Australia's major pharmacy banner groups, buying groups and digital pharmacy platforms, and leading joint business planning with key partners Leading the development of pharmacy channel activation and trade marketing plans that translate brand, portfolio and partner strategies into measurable execution Ensure channel planning is integrated with portfolio strategy, brand priorities, launch planning and field execution. Identifying and developing partnerships with digital pharmacy, health technology and patient support platforms that enhance pharmacist capability and patient experience Partnering with marketing, medical, regulatory and legal teams to develop compliant disease awareness, pharmacist education and pharmacy‑specific materials aligned to TGA requirements and the Medicines Australia Code of Conduct Establishing clear cross‑functional governance across sales, marketing, medical, market access, regulatory, legal, supply chain and finance Building, leading and developing a high‑performing pharmacy channel team as the function scales The role is full‑time, permanent, based in Australia, with approximately 30% domestic travel and reporting to the Senior Director, Cardiometabolic Sales. Your new department Within Novo Nordisk Australia, our Cardiometabolic Sales team works across diabetes, obesity and related cardiometabolic conditions, partnering with healthcare professionals, industry stakeholders and the broader health ecosystem to improve patient outcomes. This newly created role gives you the rare opportunity to establish pharmacy as a strategic commercial growth pillar – shaping how we partner, activate and deliver across the Australian pharmacy landscape. Your skills & qualifications 10+ years' commercial experience across consumer healthcare, retail pharmacy, FMCG or healthcare channels, including key account management, channel strategy or strategic partnerships, with demonstrated success building senior‑level commercial partnerships and developing trade marketing or channel activation plans Strong understanding of the Australian pharmacy landscape, including banner groups, independent pharmacy, buying groups, digital pharmacy models, the Pharmacy Guild of Australia and the Pharmaceutical Society of Australia, plus experience operating in regulated environments (TGA, Medicines Australia) Proven experience building a new channel, business unit, partnership model or commercial capability from concept through to execution, with strong financial and analytical capability across investment prioritisation, ROI and KPI governance People leadership experience and a track record of influencing senior stakeholders in a matrix environment, aligning cross‑functional teams behind a new commercial agenda Tertiary qualification in Business, Pharmacy, Science, Marketing or a related discipline (postgraduate business or finance qualification highly desirable) It would also be highly desirable if you bring established senior relationships across major Australian pharmacy banner groups, experience in obesity, diabetes or cardiovascular health, knowledge of GLP‑1 therapy, or experience with digital health platforms, patient support programmes and the Australian telehealth ecosystem.
