12-Month Contract | Melbourne Based | Global FMCG Transformation Programme Are you looking to launch your career at the intersection of Food Science, Product Development and Digital Transformation? We’re partnering with a globally recognised consumer products organisation currently delivering a large-scale international Product Lifecycle Management (cPLM) transformation programme. As part of this journey, we’re looking for an early-career Functional Analyst to join the team and support the evolution of formulation and product development processes across a complex global environment. This is an outstanding opportunity for a recent graduate or someone with up to two years’ experience in Food Science, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology, Food Technology or a related discipline who is curious about how products are developed, scaled and commercialised within a global enterprise. You do not need deep systems experience — training and support will be provided. What matters most is strong communication skills, curiosity, structured thinking and a genuine interest in product development and business transformation. The Opportunity You’ll join a global programme focused on modernising how products are formulated, specified and brought to market. Initially, you’ll work closely with international design and build teams across Europe and North America, before supporting regional deployment activities within ANZ. This role offers rare exposure early in your career across: Product development and formulation processes Global business transformation Functional analysis and requirements gathering Testing and deployment activities Data and systems-driven process improvement Key Responsibilities You’ll support the wider programme team to: Understand current formulation and product development processes Capture business requirements, pain points and improvement opportunities Translate requirements into user stories and functional documentation Support testing activities including UAT, defect logging and retesting Assist with training materials, user guides and support documentation Participate in deployment and hypercare activities Work collaboratively with R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, Commercial and Digital teams Support data quality and compliant product development processes About You We’re looking for someone who brings: A degree in Food Science, Food Technology, Nutrition, Chemistry, Biology or similar 0–2 years’ experience in R&D, laboratory, product development, quality or technical environments Strong curiosity around how products are formulated and commercialised Interest in digital systems, transformation and process improvement Excellent written and verbal communication skills A collaborative mindset and ability to work across global teams Strong organisational and problem-solving capability A willingness to learn and grow within a transformation environment Previous exposure to PLM systems, R&D systems or transformation programmes is advantageous but not essential.
