Senior Site Civil Engineer – Hope Downs 1 Sustaining Project Employment Type: 12-month Contract. Location: Hope Downs 1 Sustaining Site, Western Australia. Role Overview The Senior Site Civil Engineer will play a key role in the delivery of civil works on the Hope Downs 1 Sustaining Project. This position is responsible for providing on‑site engineering leadership across bulk earthworks and haul road construction activities while ensuring contractor performance, safety, quality, and schedule compliance. This is a hands‑on, site‑based FIFO role suited to an experienced civil engineer with strong contractor management capability and proven experience in large‑scale mining or heavy industrial environments. Key Responsibilities Provide on‑site civil engineering support across bulk earthworks and haul road construction activities. Manage and supervise civil contractors, ensuring compliance with project scope, specifications, schedule, and safety requirements. Coordinate daily construction activities with site execution and project management teams. Review and interpret engineering drawings, designs, and technical documentation. Monitor construction progress and provide regular reporting on productivity, risks, and constraints. Ensure works are delivered in accordance with relevant standards, drawings, and project procedures. Identify and manage construction issues, variations, and technical risks as they arise. Promote and uphold safety leadership, ensuring compliance with site HSE requirements. Support commissioning, handover, and close‑out activities as required. Key Experience & Requirements Degree qualification in Civil Engineering. Extensive experience in bulk earthworks on mining or large‑scale infrastructure project. Proven experience in haul road construction and maintenance. Strong contractor management and supervision capability. Demonstrated experience working in FIFO site environments.
