The role is responsible for ensuring collections are aligned with institutional priorities and deliver high-quality, accessible resources for students and staff.The position leads the analysis, evaluation and licensing of monograph resources, using data and insights to inform collection development decisions and maximise the effective use of the library’s budget. The role also oversees the management of relevant library systems and processes to support efficient resource acquisition and access.Working collaboratively across the library and broader University, the Senior Coordinator, Monographs contributes to continuous improvement initiatives and supports the delivery of contemporary, user-focused collection services that enhance the student and researcher experience.Further information about this role can be found in the attached position description.About YouTo be suitable for this role you will need to have experience in the below key accountabilities:Demonstrated understanding of emerging issues, challenges and trends in collection development, acquisitions, licensing and management within an academic library setting Highly developed leadership skills, including an ability to effectively lead, develop and motivate teams Highly developed interpersonal, negotiation and written/oral communication skills, including a demonstrated ability to initiate and establish good working relationships with key stakeholders Strong practical skills in utilising analytics tools and managing collection-related data to assess resource performance, identify trends, and provide evidence-based recommendations QualificationsPostgraduate qualifications in information management or related discipline and extensive relevant experience and/or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and trainingAbout Swinburne University Of TechnologySwinburne’s strategy draws upon our understanding of future challenges.
