Role Overview This is a pivotal leadership role responsible for driving knowledge management strategy and operations across Gilbert + Tobin and with clients. Reporting to Caryn Sandler, Partner + Chief Knowledge and Innovation Officer, and managing a team of Knowledge Lawyers, you will be responsible for: Driving the transformation of the firm’s knowledge assets into strategic, AI-enabled capabilities, in close consultation with the Partner + Chief Knowledge and Innovation Officer and Practice Group Knowledge Partners. Developing and executing the firm’s enterprise knowledge strategy in alignment with AI, client value and productivity objectives. Leading the structuring, classification and governance of legal knowledge to optimise AI retrieval, accuracy and reuse; developing policies for AI-enabled knowledge creation, maintenance and quality assurance. Managing specific knowledge, innovation and quality projects requiring close liaison and project co‑management with G+T lawyers and practice groups, IT, Risk, Marketing/BD, HR and Library. Communicating knowledge and innovation initiatives to practice groups, partners and the firm. Identifying opportunities to productise legal knowledge and improve client delivery. Supporting the development of client‑facing knowledge solutions. Continuing to lead and develop a high‑performing knowledge function. Convening and chairing meetings of the Knowledge Partner group. Facilitating regular Knowledge meetings to ensure consistency of policy and content development across the firm. About You The successful candidate should have a proven track record in the Knowledge Management space, which may have been gained in Law Practice or broader professional services. You will have: Strong communication and influencing skills, matched with a strong innovation mindset; a strategic thinker. Experience using knowledge management technologies with a strong focus on Generative AI. Strong people management and leadership skills. Strong drafting skills, including an understanding of Plain English drafting. Strong problem‑solving skills and creativity. Ability to work under pressure in a deadline‑driven environment and juggle numerous tasks. What We Offer A supportive and flexible work environment.
