Universal Music Australia are excited to launch our 2026 Internship program, commencing in August. Internships play an important part of our culture at UMA. Most importantly, Internships are an opportunity for university students to gain exposure to the inner workings of a corporate work environment, and to help them determine their career path as they complete their studies. The UMA Internship program is open to eligible students from tertiary institutions that are required to participate in work placement per the terms of their degree. UMA can only consider candidates who can enrol in the ‘Internship’ unit of study and will need to demonstrate enrolment in this unit before being offered an internship position. Analytics Advertising and Partnerships Marketing, Digital and Social Media Intern How you’ll CREATE: Support the marketing, digital and social teams with day-to-day campaign activity across artist releases, tours and events Assist with creating and adapting content assets for platforms including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts and streaming partner channels Support the creation and implementation of email, SMS and digital marketing campaigns Assist with artist websites, mailers, Linkfire links, presentations and one-sheeters Research social media trends, creators, audience behaviour and platform best practices to help inform campaign ideas Assist with content scheduling, reporting and performance tracking across digital platforms Contribute ideas in brainstorming sessions focused on artist marketing, fan engagement and digital storytelling Support live events, activations, media servicing, ticketing and artist promotional opportunities Learn how digital experience in the music industry Who Can Apply 2026 Intern Qualifications: Currently enrolled at a Tertiary Institution/University undertaking an undergraduate music degree or equivalent music industry relevant undergraduate degree The applicant must be eligible to participate in work placement as per terms of their degree and Tertiary Institution/University UMA can only accept successful candidates who are enrolled in the ‘Internship/Placement’ unit of study at their Tertiary Institution/University Commit to between 10-25 hours per week (based on business area) or as required by Tertiary Institution/University Must be able to join us in‑person at our Woolloomooloo, Sydney office for the duration of the internship - up to 10 weeks.
