As a Billing Team Leader, you’ll play a critical role in protecting revenue by ensuring billing is accurate, timely, and compliant across the organisation. You’ll lead a team of Billing Officers, balancing people leadership, operational delivery, and risk management to ensure invoices are raised correctly, aligned to contracts, and ready to stand up to audit and customer scrutiny. Your work helps prevent downstream collections issues, improves cash flow, and strengthens customer trust. About the Role This is a hands‑on leadership role for someone who values precision, structure, and accountability. Reporting to the Credit & Billing Manager , you’ll oversee end‑to‑end billing operations, manage complex or non‑standard billing matters, and coach your team to deliver consistent, high‑quality outcomes in a deadline‑driven environment. This role would suit someone with some supervisory experience looking to gain more as well as lead from the front in actioning billing. The base salary budget for this role is $90,000 plus super. What You’ll Be Doing Lead & Support the Team Lead, coach, and develop a team of Billing Officers Allocate workloads and manage priorities to meet billing cycles Provide regular feedback, coaching, and performance support Address performance or conduct matters in line with policy Own Billing Operations Oversee invoice generation, validation, and release Ensure billing aligns with contracts, pricing schedules, and service data Review and approve complex or high‑risk billing items Manage annual rate increases across all customers Monitor billing accuracy, rework, and exception trends Stay Compliant Ensure billing activities meet internal controls, delegations, and audit requirements Identify, manage, and elevate billing risks or systemic issues Maintain accurate, complete, and audit‑ready system records Improve the Way We Work Drive consistent use of billing and finance systems Track key metrics including timeliness, accuracy, and adjustments Contribute to process improvements that strengthen controls and customer outcomes Support audits, reviews, and reporting as required Partner with the Business Work closely with Credit, Collections, Operations, and Finance teams Engage with customers to resolve billing queries or escalations Escalate issues impacting revenue, accuracy, or customer experience About You You’re a confident, detail‑driven people leader who understands that quality billing underpins everything that follows. You’ll bring: Experience in billing, invoicing, or finance operations Previous leadership or supervisory experience Strong understanding of billing accuracy, controls, and revenue integrity Ability to manage competing priorities in a deadline‑driven environment Bonus points if you have: Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience Experience in regulated, contract‑based, or high‑volume environments Exposure to credit, collections, or end‑to‑end revenue processes A qualification in Finance, Business, or a related discipline Benefits & Culture Technology‑led, intelligent security and facilities management solutions across Australia’s most critical sectors.
