About the role We have an opportunity for a Chief Engineer to be part of our Aviation Command team. The Chief Engineer is responsible for managing the Aviation Command Engineering department within a highly regulated legislative and budgetary framework in order to ensure ongoing safe operations. The role involves maintenance and production planning of the fleet, guiding and providing leadership to reporting Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers, and ensuring continual aircraft availability that meets operational needs. Key Responsibilities Manage the Aviation Command Engineering department. Oversee maintenance and production planning of the fleet. Guide and provide leadership to reporting Licensed Aircraft Maintenance Engineers. Implement fleet management plans to ensure continual aircraft availability. Qualifications Diploma in Aeroskills (Mechanical or Avionics) or equivalent industry experience. Holder of B1.3 turbine helicopter CASA part 66 licence related to Aviation Command aircraft. Holder of B2 (Avionics) CASA part 66 Licence related to Aviation Command aircraft. Holder of B1.1 turbine fixed wing CASA part 66 licence related to Aviation Command aircraft.
