This is a full-time, hands-on trade position critical to our in-house manufacturing operations.

2. Select appropriate sheetmetal stock (such as aluminium, galvanised iron, mild steel, and other alloys) and verify sizes, gauges, and dimensions against project specifications and quality standards.
3. Mark out metal stock with reference points, lines, and patterns using templates, gauges, scribes, and precision measuring instruments.
4. Cut sheetmetal along marked guidelines using hand and power shears, guillotines, drills, plasma cutters, or punches to produce required components.
5. Join and assemble fabricated components through welding, riveting, bolting, screwing, or other appropriate fastening and bonding techniques to produce complete roller shutter units, and sub-assemblies.
6. Inspect finished components and assembled products for dimensional accuracy, quality, functionality, and compliance with Australian standards and company specifications; perform adjustments, repairs, or modifications as required.
7. Operate, maintain, and ensure the safe and efficient use of specialised sheetmetal fabrication machinery, tools, and workshop equipment.
8. Collaborate with the manufacturing team to meet production targets, deadlines, and custom-order requirements while maintaining workplace health and safety standards.
9. Contribute to continuous improvement in fabrication processes and maintain accurate records of materials used and production activities.
