Job Details Job Title: Associate Director, ACB, International Corporates Job Location: Sydney, AUS Working Type: Office; Employment Type: Permanent; Posting Start Date: 30/04/2026; Posting End Date: 30/06/2026 Responsibilities The ARM provides direct sales support to the Senior Banker/Banker for new business origination and is jointly accountable for client revenues and profitability. Strategy Proactive assistance to the Senior Banker/Banker with transactional support on new business origination activities, including client research, pitch books and industry leads; coordination with network and product. Client analysis and reporting on post‑origination activities; client meeting documentation and briefing notes. Support on sales discipline requirements – Account Planning, Capital Allocation, pipeline maintenance and deal approval submissions. Accompany the Senior Banker/Banker on client visits/meetings and document client call reports. Deal execution support: negotiation of NDAs, coordination with Product Sales and Client Management on documentation, deal drawdown and revenue recognition. Proactive portfolio management – client and product partner engagement to ensure limit utilisation and accurate revenue/returns. Business Provide sales support on all origination activities for the assigned ARM client portfolio, sharing accountability for client revenues and profitability. Assist in client research and meeting preparation, ensuring high‑quality client materials. Complete bespoke client analysis, competitor analysis, and post‑origination reporting. Coordinate deal return calculations and pricing analysis with Product Sales and network. Ensure adherence to all sales discipline requirements, supporting Account Planning, pipeline and call report administration. Prepare briefing notes and internal discussions, and manage logistics for client meetings in partnership with the Banker. Offer support on new business transactions, including deal execution, NDA negotiation, and fee booking. Maintain portfolio engagement to ensure limit utilisation and accurate revenue/returns at both portfolio and client levels. Processes Attend and minute Account Planning/Strategy deep‑dive sessions. Collaborate with product partners to maximise cross‑sell and returns on risk‑weighted assets. Engage all relevant client team members and internal stakeholders for approved strategy communication. Ensure line utilisation for complex transactions, review profitability data and resolve fee/return recognition issues with internal teams. Participate with the Banker in client conversations to discuss account strategy and related opportunities. Maintain deep understanding of client industry, performance and outlook. Manage sensitive deal information confidentially and support internal deal teams for complex transactions. Drive product and geography cross‑sell initiatives. Log client calls into CRM within 48 hours and update the deal pipeline. Ensure completion of documentation and monitoring of post‑fund disbursement, including EAFs where applicable. Support client onboarding, approval processes and CRM client structure management. Coordinate client events and distribution of corporate gifts or merchandise. People & Talent Support and develop junior team members. Assist fellow ARMs/Portfolio Managers in their absence. Risk Management Identify clients needing Early Alert classification with Credit and/or transfer to GSAM. Support periodic credit reviews and ongoing monitoring, especially during market volatility. Assist Senior Banker/Banker and SAG on exceptional cases such as CG13 sub‑USD5.0 mio accounts and co‑managed account recoveries. Governance Assess and oversee Group governance, oversight and control arrangements. Maintain awareness of regulatory frameworks and requirements. Deliver effective governance and challenge executive decisions when necessary. Regulatory & Business Conduct Exhibit exemplary conduct and adhere to the Group’s Values and Code of Conduct. Embed high ethical standards and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations. Collaboratively identify, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters. Complete CCRMC certification within 12 months or as required. Key Stakeholders Clients under the assigned portfolio. GAMs, RAMs, FAMs. Credit Risk. Product Partners: FM, TB, GCM, DCDA. Other Responsibilities Embed the Group’s brand, values and good practice across Australia and CIB Client Coverage; perform other responsibilities as assigned under Group, Country, Business or Functional policies.
