Senior Medical Officer – General Practice Location: Central West Queensland (QLD), 1,355 km northwest of Brisbane, in an outback town with approximately 856 residents. Duration: 15 May 2026 – 18 August 2026 (various sub‑periods available). Pay: AUD 2,600 per month (equivalent to $2,600 per day). Key Responsibilities Provide primary medical care at a small community hospital with an emergency department and 8 acute care beds. Operate a GP clinic and share on‑call duties with the hospital team. Support the local sheep and cattle‑raising industry with appropriate medical services. Qualifications and Requirements Registered with AHPRA. Right to work in Australia. Senior Medical Officer or equivalent experience in general practice preferred.
