Future Opening: Pediatric Occupational Therapist We are therapists who live and work in San Bernardino and Riverside counties and provide occupational therapy services to children of all ages and medical diagnoses. We are seeking a qualified Pediatric Occupational Therapist to join our team. Mission Statement At WonderLab, our mission is to provide high quality occupational therapy services for children in a nurturing, child-centered environment, supporting development in sensory processing, motor coordination, and functional skills across age ranges. Position Summary The Pediatric Occupational Therapist will plan, evaluate, organize, and conduct therapy programs to facilitate sensory-motor development. Responsibilities include administering evaluations, developing treatment plans, monitoring progress, and collaborating with families. Position Qualifications Graduate of an accredited School of Occupational Therapy and licensed in California. Clinical experience in a pediatric therapy setting with proficiency in conducting evaluations. Required skills: Planning, administering, scoring, and interpreting tests related to sensory processing and daily living activities. Effective written and oral communication skills. Required Certification and Registration: National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Licensed by the California Board of Occupational Therapy (CBOT). Position Accountabilities Administer pediatric occupational therapy in clinic, schools, or homes. Conduct in-depth evaluations requiring 1–2+ hours, produce a parent conference and assessment report within two weeks. Determine areas of concern, set goals, and develop treatment plans. Document evaluations, treatments, follow-up, and discharge concisely; complete reports within two weeks of appointments. Maintain a patient load of approximately 7‑hour long treatments per 8‑hour day and at least 2 evaluations per week. Create and maintain positive relationships with families and children. Develop home programs when applicable. Provide direction and assistance to interns and volunteers. Demonstrate positive interaction with co-workers, clients, families, and third parties. Attend staff and in-service meetings; occasionally lead training segments. Demonstrate knowledge of health and safety standards and follow AOTA guidelines. Assist with program, protocol, and document development; research OT spaces and recommend equipment. Identify continuing education needs and pursue courses.
