The team culture emphasizes professionalism, collaboration, and patient-centered service. Role Description This is a part‑time, on‑site General Practitioner role based in Melbourne, VIC. The General Practitioner will provide comprehensive primary care, including history taking, physical examinations, diagnosis, management, and follow‑up of acute and chronic conditions for a diverse patient population. Daily responsibilities include interpreting diagnostic tests, prescribing medications, coordinating care with allied health and specialist providers, and maintaining accurate, timely medical records. The GP will deliver preventive health services such as immunisations, screening, health assessments, and chronic disease management plans, skin checks, iron infusions, travel advice, STI checks, contraception and managing menopause, cervical screens. The role also involves patient education, participation in clinical meetings, and adherence to RACGP standards, practice policies, and relevant regulatory requirements. Qualifications Strong clinical background in Medicine and Primary Care, with demonstrated experience managing both acute and chronic conditions in a general practice setting. Competence in Family Medicine, including whole‑of‑life care, preventive health, and continuity of care for individuals and families. Ability to collaborate effectively with Nursing and other clinical staff to deliver coordinated, patient‑centered care. Commitment to ongoing Training and professional development, including regular clinical updates and quality improvement activities. Current medical degree and full (or eligibility for) AHPRA registration as a General Practitioner; FRACGP specialist qualification strongly preferred. Current Medicare eligibility, and appropriate professional indemnity insurance. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a respectful, inclusive approach to patients and colleagues from diverse backgrounds.
