We are seeking a Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor to lead our mechanical team and play a critical role in ensuring the reliability and performance of our sawmill. Reporting directly to the Maintenance Superintendent, this is a full-time opportunity working an average of 45 hours per week across an 8/6 roster cycle. As the Mechanical Maintenance Supervisor, you will coordinate and supervise all mechanical maintenance activities, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently and to the highest quality standards. You’ll be responsible for driving team performance, minimising downtime, and maintaining equipment to optimal operating conditions – supporting overall plant productivity and reliability. Key responsibilities: Lead and supervise the mechanical maintenance team to deliver safe and efficient outcomes Promote a strong safety culture through hazard identification, Take 2 / JHA processes, and clear safe work instructions Maximise team productivity through effective leadership, planning, and coordination Minimise plant downtime through timely and high-quality maintenance Ensure mechanical components are maintained to manufacturer tolerances and specifications Support optimal plant performance and maximise fibre recovery through effective maintenance practices Collaborate with operations and relevant teams to achieve production targets What you’ll bring: Mechanical Trade Qualification Proven experience in a supervisory or leadership role within maintenance or heavy industry Strong understanding of plant equipment, maintenance strategies, and reliability principles Demonstrated commitment to workplace safety and continuous improvement Ability to lead, motivate, and develop a high-performing team Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Experience with maintenance planning systems and reporting tools What we Offer: Ongoing development and training Competitive remuneration Eligibility in an Employee Incentive Scheme based on KPI's Regular performance appraisals linked to remuneration reviews Work-life balance working an 8/6 roster and home every night.
