DA Planner (Casual) - Murwillumbah Up to $67 per hour | Min 3 Month Contract | Immediate Start Spinifex Recruiting is seeking an experienced DA Planner for a casual opportunity with Tweed Shire Council, based in Murwillumbah. This is an ASAP start for an initial 3 month assignment, with potential for extension, supporting the Planning team through a current influx of Development Applications - predominantly dwelling houses and pools. The Opportunity You will play a key role in assessing and processing Development Applications within a high-volume environment. This position requires someone who can work both independently and collaboratively within a team, while being primarily office-based. Site inspections will form part of your responsibilities. Key Responsibilities Assessment and determination of Development Applications Preparing reports and recommendations in line with NSW legislation Liaising with applicants, consultants and internal stakeholders Conducting site inspections as required About You Demonstrated experience in DA assessment and statutory planning Strong working knowledge of NSW Planning Legislation Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to manage competing priorities and deadlines Current driver's licence What's on Offer Paygrade between 6-7 - so up to $67 per hour (depending on experience) Immediate start Potential contract extension Opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-supported Local Government team If you're an experienced planner available for an immediate start and looking for a strong short-term contract opportunity, we'd love to hear from you.
