The Opportunity This is not a role for someone who wants to sit behind a desk and review contracts in isolation. This is a senior in house position for a commercially sharp, execution oriented lawyer who wants to be genuinely embedded in the business. You’ll be the legal partner for our commercial, product, finance and people teams across multiple jurisdictions helping the business move fast without creating unnecessary risk. The work is real and varied: enterprise contracting, M&A support, cross jurisdiction compliance, corporate governance, IP protection, employment matters and strategic advisory. No two weeks look the same. What You’ll Own Draft, review and negotiate a high volume and broad range of commercial agreements across AutoGrab’s verticals: insurance, dealer, fleet, OEM and international data partnerships Provide rapid, commercially pragmatic legal advice to commercial leads on deal structure, contract terms, liability positions and risk allocation Build and continuously improve AutoGrab’s suite of standard agreements, legal templates and commercial playbooks to support scalable growth Support UK and EU expansion through cross-border contracting, local law considerations and international partner agreements Review and negotiate data sharing, API and supplier agreements with third-party providers and strategic partners Corporate Governance & Compliance Advise on corporate governance matters and develop policies and frameworks with a focus on global consistency Support Board and remuneration committee processes including Board papers, minutes, resolutions and statutory filings Own ESOP administration end to end, option grants, offer documentation, vesting schedules, exercise processes and ongoing compliance Maintain corporate records, registers and constitutional documents across all group entities Ensure compliance across Australia, the UK and Europe, with particular focus on data privacy, consumer protection and employment law Oversee data privacy compliance including Privacy Act obligations, GDPR and cross-border data transfer requirements Monitor regulatory developments relevant to AutoGrab and brief leadership on material changes M&A & Strategic Transactions Provide legal support across acquisition activity including due diligence, transaction documentation, SPA review and post acquisition integration Work closely with executive leadership on strategic transactions, investments and corporate restructuring Manage external counsel on complex transactions across multiple jurisdictions IP, Risk & Strategic Advisory Advise on IP matters including trademarks, proprietary data, licensing and protection of AutoGrab’s technology assets internationally Identify legal and regulatory risks across the business and provide commercially grounded mitigation strategies Manage and resolve legal disputes efficiently, working with external counsel where required Partner with department heads and senior leadership to provide practical legal guidance aligned with AutoGrab’s growth plans What We’re Looking For Must-Have 7+ years post-qualification experience, with a combination of top-tier or leading mid-tier private practice and in house experience Strong transactional and commercial contracting background and work fast, accurate and pragmatic under pressure Experience supporting M&A transactions and corporate governance matters Sound knowledge of Australian corporate and commercial law, with working familiarity across employment, privacy and regulatory compliance Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously in a fast paced, high growth environment Admitted to practice in Australia Nice-to-Have Experience in a technology, SaaS or data business Exposure to UK or EU legal frameworks, particularly GDPR and cross-border data agreements Experience operating in a high-growth or international business environment Why This Role Join at Series B, real scale, real momentum, and a genuine path to building something lasting Broad, senior mandate with direct access to the COO and executive leadership team Work across multiple jurisdictions on genuinely complex and interesting legal matters If this sounds like the role you’ve been waiting for, we’d love to hear from you. #J-18808-Ljbffr
