Mobil Griffith is a busy fuel service station and convenience retail business operating under the Mobil brand. We provide fuel services along with a wide range of retail and convenience products to a high volume of daily customers. About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Retail Manager to oversee the daily operations of our service station and retail store. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing staff, ensuring smooth store operations, maintaining stock levels, driving sales performance, and ensuring compliance with all safety and operational requirements.
Key Responsibilities
• Manage the overall daily operations of the fuel station and convenience store, ensuring efficient service delivery and smooth workflow
• Oversee stock control processes including ordering, replenishment, stock rotation, and inventory accuracy
• Develop and implement strategies to improve sales performance, customer engagement, and in-store promotional activities
• Monitor daily financial transactions, cash handling procedures, and reconciliation of sales records
• Prepare and manage budgets, control operating expenses, and support profitability targets
• Recruit, train, supervise, and roster staff to ensure adequate coverage and high-quality customer service at all times
• Ensure compliance with workplace health and safety requirements, fuel handling procedures, and company operational policies
• Maintain high standards of store presentation, cleanliness, and merchandising in line with brand expectations
• Handle customer enquiries, complaints, and service issues in a professional and timely manner
• Liaise with suppliers and management to ensure consistent product availability and efficient supply chain operations
• Maintain accurate records relating to stock levels, sales performance, and operational reporting
Qualifications:
• Tertiary qualification in Retail Management, Business Administration, or Hospitality Management (preferred but not required)
• Minimum of 1 year experience in retail management, preferably in fuel stations, supermarkets, or convenience retail environments
Skills and Experience
• Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and motivate a team
• Experience in stock control, budgeting, and financial reporting
• Strong customer service and problem-solving abilities
• Knowledge of OH&S compliance and retail operational standards
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-volume retail environment
