The Team The Alcohol and Drug Service North is a dynamic team based in Launceston. The Drug and Alcohol services works with both inpatient and outpatient services to deliver excellent care and support to those who require support and treatment for Alcohol and Drug issues, including families and friends. The service work closely together with the statewide team to focus on delivering excellence in healthcare to achieve improved outcomes for our consumers, our workforce, and the Tasmanian community. The Role Broad operational direction and support will be provided by the Area Manager ADS North and clinical Governance will be provided by the Statewide Specialty Director ADS. Responsibilities Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary team and with key stakeholders to ensure the ongoing effectiveness of the public and private sector Pharmacotherapy Program. Be expected to exercise a significant level of independent clinical judgement in completing the primary tasks. Be expected to act with integrity and in an ethically honourable manner. Salary Specialist Medical Practitioners Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 1- Senior Specialist Medical Practitioner Level 3 $216,300 - $310,389 per annum, pro rata + 12% superannuation + access to salary packaging. Salary range is in accordance with Medical Practitioners Agreement 2022. Allowances and Benefits In addition, the following allowances and benefits, calculated on the salaried incremental point, may be available: Salary packaging options include a range of benefits like living expenses up to $9,010 and $2,650 in meals and entertainment every year. Provision of a fully maintained private plated motor vehicle or (Delete previous for part time SMP) motor vehicle allowance of $28,786 per annum, pro rata. Subject to approval from the Private Patient Scheme Committee (PPS), 35% of base salary plus on-call, pro rata) of additional payment will be paid from (PPS). If not admitted to the PPS, a 35% in lieu of PPS of base salary will be paid. Continuing Professional Development Allowance of $16,974 per annum. Travel and relocation assistance support available up to $15,000 for eligible appointees from overseas, and up to $10,000 for appointees from interstate. Professional development and accelerated pathways. A range of leave entitlements, including study leave and Professional Development Support. Fitness Passport – You, and your family can access 40+ fitness facilities across Tasmania for just $14.50 per week per person, or $28.05 for a family. Other allowances as applicable. Eligibility Specialist or limited registration with the Medical Board of Australia in a relevant specialty. Registration/licences that are essential requirements of this role must remain current and valid at all times whilst employed in this role and the status of these may be checked at any time during employment. It is the employee’s responsibility to ensure that registration/licences remain current and to advise the Employer if their circumstances change.
