Role Title AH64 Project Support Officer Role Description The Army Aviation enterprise is currently undergoing rapid change with the introduction of multiple rotary‑wing platforms (H135, UH‑60M, AH‑64E) while supporting the operations and sustainment of existing platforms (CH‑47F, ARH) and Uncrewed Aircraft Systems (UAS). The Directorate of Capability Management (DACM) manages the introduction and sustainment of these platforms, collaborating with project delivery and product management teams within the Army Aviation Systems Branch. For the AH‑64E Apache, DACM is establishing a Capability Implementation Team (CIT) under the direction of the SO1 Attack Helicopters to manage all aspects of capability implementation and CRP milestone achievement. Responsibilities Conduct project management and general oversight tasks, maintaining the CIT schedule and capability documentation update cycle. Liaise with CASG Project Office staff and Operational Unit personnel, including working on cross‑department teams for working groups and document development. Manage test and evaluation (T&E) planning, assisting the CASG T&E manager and the T&E organisations to enable conduct and review of T&E activities through to T&E review committees and execution of identified action items and recommendations from T&E campaigns. Assist with development of maritime role expansion requirements and activity coordination with RAN organisations. Coordinate submission of evidence packs for milestone achievements and removal of operational limitations. Assist the SO2 with coordination of routine capability governance boards. Represent the CIT at multiple forums and working groups, providing capability management guidance and intent to stakeholders in the absence of the SO1 or SO2. Respond to short‑notice issues while managing long‑term deliverables. Occasionally assist with tasks for the ARH platform as required by the SO1 AH. Essential Requirements Canberra located (Fairbairn) Security clearance: minimum NV1 Australian citizenship required (dual citizenship must be declared for consideration) Proficient with IT programs such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Desirable Requirements Proficient with Microsoft Project or other project management software Background experience with Army Aviation, military helicopters, and/or Apache Experience with capability management and/or project management Engineering, technical, or logistics background Experience with commercial contract management Compensation Compensation range or hourly rate provided as a good‑faith estimate; actual compensation may vary based on responsibilities, experience, and applicable laws.
