The Department of Paediatrics at Mercy Hospital for Women is an innovative and supportive environment which provides comprehensive neonatal care for sick and premature infants. 2026 Neonatal Registrar/Neonatal Medical Officers work within a medical team with neonatal fellows and neonatologists, to provide care to infants in our neonatal intensive care, special care nursery and postnatal wards.* Accredited for advanced trainees in General Paediatrics and Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine with the Royal Australasian College of Physicians.* Supportive environment for trainees due to our 24-hour consultant-in-house model.* Fantastic opportunity for trainees in Paediatric Emergency Medicine, Obstetrics, Anaesthesia and General Practice to further your career and gain experience in Neonatology* Extensive teaching and support in practical procedures and take part in a comprehensive Neonatology teaching programme.* Employment as per the AMA Victoria – Victorian Public Health Sector - Doctors in Training Enterprise Agreement .**About You**Current registration (or eligible for) as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (APHRA) Applicants with previous Neonatal Paediatric experience will be advantaged, but is not essential Highly developed and up to date clinical and theoretical knowledgeExcellent communication and interpersonal skills Demonstrated ability to build relationships with people at all levels and work collaboratively with a diverse team Australian citizenship or be eligible for full Australian working visa (administrative assistance will be provided)**What you’ll bring**You’re resilient, compassionate and have a whole lot of heart.
