Position Overview This is a permanent, part-time position working 22.2 hours per week with a starting salary of £30,096 per annum (60% pro rata to £50,160 per annum). Contract type: Permanent Location: Penrhyn Road Salary range: £50,160 – £59,306 per annum Role Responsibilities Embed sustainable procurement practices and ensure suppliers implement Net Zero Carbon Tools. Provide accurate carbon emissions data to help the University maximise and measure its positive impact throughout buying and contracting activities. Influence and build strong working relationships with members of relevant task and steering groups to plan and implement necessary carbon reduction strategies. Proactively identify areas where Procurement can add value in terms of sustainable, carbon‑reducing solutions in support of the University’s sustainability plan and strategic goals. Person / Qualifications Procurement professional with in‑depth understanding of sustainability and sustainable procurement practice. Able to work independently and as part of a team, influencing and building strong relationships with relevant task and steering groups. Strong cross‑functional business environment experience.
