Unique Opportunity for a Litigation Lawyer to join an established In-House Legal Team We are seeking a confident Commercial Litigation/Disputes Lawyer to join an established legal team within the automotive industry. As Legal Counsel, this role with focus on managing legal disputes across the business, with a strong focus on consumer law, product liability and commercial litigation. You will independently lead matters through tribunals such as VCAT, engage with regulators, and shape legal frameworks that protect and advance the business. Key responsibilities Manage litigation and dispute resolution across consumer, product, contractual, property and employment matters Appear at VCAT hearings, mediations, and conciliations Investigate and advise on product liability claims and regulatory inquiries Advise on Australian Consumer Law (ACL) compliance and risk management Deliver training on warranties, guarantees and consumer protections Support strategic legal projects, acquisitions and compliance initiatives Partner with internal stakeholders and external Counsel to drive outcomes Skills & Experience 3-6 years years PAE Experience in litigation, disputes and regulatory matters Knowledge of consumer law and product liability Tribunal experience (VCAT or equivalent), with strong advocacy skills Ability to manage matters independently and influence outcomes Exceptional drafting, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement skills On offer Generous salary package plus bonus scheme Work with a dynamic, high-performance legal team Influence strategic decisions across a national automotive group Engage in diverse legal matters with real business impact Be part of a values-driven organisation with a strong brand To apply online, please click on the appropriate link.
