The group continues to grow through acquisition, integration, and operational expansion, with a strong focus on creating consistent service delivery, financial visibility, operational accountability, and scalable infrastructure across all practices. About the Role We are seeking a commercially minded and operationally driven Legal Operations Manager to support continued growth, integration, and operational performance. This position is focused on operational leadership, performance oversight, financial visibility, systems optimisation, workflow governance, and integration execution. The Legal Operations Manager reports directly to the COO and plays a critical role in scaling the group through process improvement, operational reporting, matter management oversight, and integration support. Key Responsibilities Financial Visibility & Reporting Work alongside Finance and COO to improve visibility across: WIP, debtors, matter performance, billing, utilisation, revenue tracking, referral performance Produce operational reporting dashboards and performance summaries Assist Practice Leads in understanding operational and financial performance drivers Support governance around time recording, billing, and workflow management Monitor operational impacts on profitability and delivery capacity Operational Performance & Oversight Drive operational consistency across all legal practices within the group Monitor and report on operational KPIs, utilisation, workflow performance, matter progression, and capacity management Support Practice Leads with operational planning and execution Identify operational inefficiencies, bottlenecks, and process gaps across practices Assist in building scalable operational structures and frameworks as the group grows Matter Management & Workflow Governance Oversee operational workflows within LEAP and practice management systems Drive consistency in matter setup, coding, workflow stages etc. Monitor matter progression and ensure practices maintain operational discipline Support implementation of referral and triage workflows across practices Ensure operational governance around: file management; matter allocation, workflow tracking, reporting structures, referral coding systems Work with practices to ensure operational execution aligns with group standards Practice Integration & Growth Support Lead onboarding and operational integration of newly acquired practices Assist with implementation of systems, workflows, governance, and reporting Work with leadership teams to ensure minimal disruption during transitions Assist in standardising operational procedures across the group Systems & Process Improvement Drive continuous improvement initiatives across legal operations Identify opportunities for automation, workflow improvement, and scalability Assist with implementation and optimisation of legal technology platforms Support development of operational SOPs, policies, and process documentation Work with external suppliers and internal stakeholders regarding systems and support Leadership & Stakeholder Management Act as a key operational liaison between the COO, Practice Leads, Finance, HR, Practice Administrationand external suppliers Build strong working relationships across the group Support accountability and operational discipline within practices Assist with change management and communication during growth and integrations Skills & Experience 5+ years’ experience in legal operations, law firms, or professional services operations Strong understanding of law firm workflows and operational structures Experience with legal practice management systems (preferably LEAP) Strong commercial and operational acumen Advanced organisational and project coordination skills Strong reporting and analytical capability Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Ability to operate across multiple teams and priorities simultaneously Experience working within a multi-office or multi-practice legal environment Experience supporting mergers, acquisitions, or business integrations Exposure to operational reporting and financial performance management Experience implementing process improvement initiatives or operational systems Key Attributes Highly organised, process driven, with a strong attention to detail Collaborative and solutions focused Comfortable operating in fast-paced growth environments Able to balance strategic thinking with operational execution Proactive and accountable Strong communicator with leadership presence Application Questions Your application will include the following questions: Which of the following statements best describes your right to work in Australia?
