The role: We are working on a senior professional indemnity role with a business operating in a hybrid model between private practice and in‑house, giving lawyers direct involvement with insurers and underwriters while still working on sophisticated litigated matters. The role combines advisory, strategy and litigation work across professional indemnity and related liability claims, without the traditional law firm structure sitting over the top. The work: The work includes: Defending professional indemnity claims Coverage advice and policy interpretation Reserving and strategic claims input Advising insurers and underwriters directly Managing litigated matters where required The matters span a broad range of industries including construction, engineering, property, financial services and technology. Importantly, this is not a high‑volume churn environment. The focus is on quality work, early strategic involvement and working closely with insurer clients rather than simply reacting once litigation is underway.
