Compliance Manager / Compliance Specialist (Part-Time) - Wealth Management Location: Sydney JS Careers is partnering with a leading Australian boutique wealth advisory firm to appoint an experienced Compliance Manager / Compliance Specialist on a part-time basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performing organisation servicing high-net-worth clients, family offices, and not-for-profits, with full responsibility for supporting and enhancing the firm’s compliance framework and ensuring adherence to all regulatory obligations across its Australian operations. Key Responsibilities: Support the management and ongoing enhancement of the firm’s compliance framework, policies, processes, and culture Ensure compliance with all obligations under the firm’s Australian Financial Services Licence (AFSL), including wholesale and retail advice requirements Act as a key compliance contact for the business, with potential to operate as an ASIC Responsible Manager Develop, implement, and manage the compliance monitoring and review program, including incident and breach register management Provide advisory support to senior management and business units on regulatory requirements and risk mitigation Ensure all authorised representatives operate within their delegations and understand their compliance obligations Oversee compliance training programs and drive ongoing regulatory awareness across the business Manage responses to complaints, regulatory enquiries, audits, inspections, and notifications Support audit processes, including AFSL and business reporting obligations Assist with Board and Committee reporting, including preparation of compliance and risk insights and recommendations Engage with external stakeholders, including legal, IT, and compliance partners, to support broader risk management initiatives About You: 5+ years’ compliance experience within Australian financial services Strong knowledge of wealth management and financial advice frameworks, including AFSL obligations (exposure to RG416 highly regarded) Demonstrated experience in compliance frameworks, monitoring programs, and regulatory engagement Excellent stakeholder engagement and relationship management skills Strong written and verbal communication abilities Commercial mindset with sound judgement and a strong client focus Ability to operate independently while contributing to a high-performing team Collaborative, proactive, and detail-oriented Unrestricted Australian working rights (citizen or permanent resident) Why Apply?
