The Team The Hobart Community Care Team provides vital mental health services across a broad and diverse catchment, including the City of Hobart, Kingston, Channel, and Huon region. This role offers a unique opportunity to deliver high‑quality, recovery‑focused care across both urban and rural communities, supporting individuals and families at every stage of life. The team is multidisciplinary, consisting of Lived Experience Workers, Nurses, Psychologists, Social Workers, Occupational Therapists, and Psychiatrists. Responsibilities Work with a high level of autonomy at the individual team level and manage efficient and effective assessment and treatment of clients referred for case management/care coordination as well as individuals of the designated team presenting with mental health problems and crises after‑hours and on weekends. Function as a single practitioner within established decision‑making and operational frameworks, providing effective care and treatment to assigned clients and broader team clients when indicated. Maintain productive relationships with internal and external stakeholders, navigate conflicting objectives and prioritise competing priorities, and resolve escalated issues through negotiation and mediation. Required Skills & Knowledge Discipline‑specific high‑level skills, knowledge and clinical expertise in mental health. Advanced written and oral communication, liaison, interpersonal and counselling skills within a multidisciplinary team environment. Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and documentation, including the Mental Health Act 2013, Right to Information Act, Work Health & Safety legislation, statutory requirements, and Agency policies and procedures. Qualifications Satisfactory completion of an approved allied health professional tertiary qualification/program of study, registered with the relevant National Board, or full membership/eligible for membership with the relevant professional association for self‑regulated allied health professions. Current Working with Children Registration (where applicable). Current driver’s licence. Appointment Details Permanent part‑time, shift worker position, working 38 hours per fortnight, commencing as soon as possible. Hours are negotiable with the successful applicant. Salary and Benefits Salary: $110,425 to $121,907 per annum (pro‑rata). Our Employer 12% superannuation contribution is on top of this amount. Salary range in accordance with Allied Health Professionals Public Sector Unions Wages Agreement No. 2 of 2022. Salary packaging benefits include living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment up to $2,650 per fringe‑benefit year. Professional Development Allowance up to $1,000 per annum.
