National Operations Manager – E-Waste Recycling (BH-38658) Location: Villawood, Australia Sector: Manufacturing & Production Salary: $150,000 – $180,000 + Superannuation National Multi‑Site Responsibility About the Organisation This organisation is a well‑established operator within the waste management and recycling industry, specialising in e‑waste processing, logistics, and environmentally responsible recycling solutions. With multiple facilities nationally, it focuses on operational excellence, compliance, and sustainable growth, serving domestic and international markets through end‑to‑end recycling and resource recovery solutions. About the Role An experienced and commercially minded National Operations Manager will lead and optimise a growing national recycling and logistics operation within the waste and circular economy sector. Reporting directly to the board, the role oversees multi‑site operations across Australia, driving operational excellence, safety compliance, inventory management, production and dispatch planning, and stakeholder engagement. The successful candidate will support strategic growth initiatives while ensuring efficient, compliant, and high‑performing operations. Operations include Parkes, Yatala (depot/drop‑off site only), Dandenong, and Villawood, with quarterly interstate travel required. Key Responsibilities Lead and coordinate daily operations across multiple national sites Manage site managers to achieve safety, compliance, productivity, and operational performance targets Oversee inventory management, including weight tracking, reconciliation and reporting Conduct weekly operational meetings and drive accountability through action follow‑ups Manage maintenance schedules and machinery breakdown responses to minimise downtime Oversee labour planning, including permanent staff and labour hire resources Collaborate with trading and logistics teams to prepare material shipments for overseas buyers Maintain and strengthen relationships with domestic and international clients and partners Engage in business development activities, including client presentations and service pitching Work with finance teams on operational budgets, reporting and cost management Lead safety, health, environmental and compliance initiatives, maintaining industry certifications such as R2v3 Monitor and report on operational KPIs, throughput and inventory metrics Prepare reports and presentations for executive leadership and board meetings Support continuous improvement initiatives and strategic operational growth Identify future leaders to support the organisation’s growth plans About You Extensive experience within waste recycling, logistics, manufacturing or industrial operations environments Strong leadership experience managing multi‑site operations and cross‑functional teams Knowledge of Australian waste legislation, ISO standards and safety compliance frameworks Experience in e‑waste, recycling or circular economy sectors (highly regarded) Strong organisational and operational planning skills Proven ability to manage stakeholder relationships across clients, suppliers, regulators and internal and international partners Experience managing maintenance programs, operational assets and labour hire workforces Excellent communication and presentation skills, including executive and board‑level reporting Commercial and financial acumen with exposure to budgeting and operational cost management Benefits Permanent role Competitive base salary between $150k and $180k plus superannuation (dependent on experience) Leadership role with executive exposure Free onsite parking #J-18808-Ljbffr
