Job Description Full time, permanent position based in Welshpool, WA for mid 2026 commencement. Monday – Friday, 9:00 am – 5:00 pm. An extra 1.5 % superannuation rate paid on top of the national standard super rate. Reporting to the Business Unit Manager, the role includes the following responsibilities: Receiving the daily priority list and ensuring all analyses are completed on time. Checking spreadsheets, worklists and organising urgent samples to be analysed. Conducting internal audits and responding to CAPAs raised. Organising monthly internal calibrations of equipment such as pipettes, balances, timers and thermometers. Liaising with Analytical Service Managers regarding result checking and re‑analysis. Assisting with instrument troubleshooting. Training analysts with different tests. Ensuring all staff perform QC as required. Performing analysis, calculations and maintenance where applicable. Monitoring and reviewing the work of staff members in the section. Conducting method development and verifications. Requirements for this role: Experience with GC P&T, GC‑FID, GC‑MS, LC‑MS. Minimum education level of a Diploma in Science, Laboratory Techniques or equivalent. Relevant experience demonstrating competency in a similar capacity at another ISO 17025 accredited laboratory. Comfort in technical environments. Ability to build and structure business plans, submissions and initiatives. Desire to continually learn and improve. Strategic thinking and abstract reasoning skills. Strong written and oral communication skills.
