Location: Melbourne - CBD and Inner Metro suburbs Reference: VG/BPC/GLRO/BA About the Role We are seeking a technical expert at the centre of building registration; the Building Advisor provides authoritative guidance on complex applications. As a key member of our Licensing and Registration team, you’ll bring your technical expertise to the forefront—guiding complex building registration applications and influencing outcomes that matter. You’ll partner with internal teams and external stakeholders, providing clear, authoritative advice to support informed decisions. In this role you’ll interpret technical information, navigate challenging queries, and ensure applications are assessed in line with BPC policy and digital processes. What we are looking for Eligible for or registered as a Domestic Builder (Unlimited), Building Surveyor or Building Inspector, with strong technical knowledge and experience. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment desirable. Ability to provide expert technical advice on complex building applications and renewals, ensuring clear communication and high‑quality stakeholder outcomes. Demonstrated ability to deliver accurate, timely, and concise reports on complex building matters, applying sound technical judgment. Highly organised, proactive, and team‑oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement, innovation, and delivering high‑quality results.
