Role Overview The Logistics Specialist is responsible for the safe, efficient and accurate handling, storage and delivery of furniture related products. This role ensures operational continuity across warehouse functions and delivery, supporting inventory integrity, customer satisfaction and workplace safety. Key Responsibilities Warehouse Operations : Receive goods, verify against delivery paperwork, identify and report damage, unload and store goods, pick, pack and prepare items for dispatch, assist with stock control, cycle counts, maintain warehouse organization and safety. Delivery and Transport Operations : Load and secure goods for transport, conduct deliveries to residential and commercial customers, unload, position and assemble furniture, operate vehicles safely, conduct pre‑start inspections, complete delivery documentation and obtain customer sign‑off, provide professional customer service. Safety & Compliance : Follow EHS procedures and policies, use correct manual handling techniques, operate forklifts, pallet jacks and equipment (if licensed), identify and report hazards, incidents and near misses, maintain compliance with company safety regulations. Operational Support : Assist with warehouse organization and workflow efficiency, support logistics coordination and dispatch planning, maintain accurate operational records, aid continuous improvement initiatives. Key Performance Outcomes Accurate and damage‑free handling of products. Safe and compliant warehouse and delivery operations. High level of customer satisfaction during deliveries. Accurate inventory handling and stock integrity. Compliance with EHS and company procedures. Efficient loading, dispatch, and delivery execution. Qualifications Minimum 2 years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, or furniture handling. Ability to safely perform manual handling tasks. Good communication and teamwork skills. Strong attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to follow procedures and safety requirements. Reliable, punctual, responsible work ethic. Desirable Familiarity with SAP applications. Experience in furniture delivery and installation. Experience in warehouse inventory systems. Experience operating forklifts or warehouse equipment. Licenses & Certificates Minimum Essential : Forklift License (LF High Risk Work License), Heavy Rigid (HR) Driver’s License. Desirable : Manual Handling Training, White Card, First Aid Certificate.
