About The Team Implement technical solution, develop and execute technology requirements aligning to the Enterprise Architecture plans and practices to meet the current and future needs of the business within the Markets technology division supporting Market Announcement and Reference data systems. This cross‑functional platform team is responsible for the support and enhancement of the ASX Market Announcement Platform and Reference Data Management System. What You Will Be Doing Assess and map business requirements to technical solutions, creating the stepping stone for build work. Adhere to software development life cycle best practices, performing detailed analysis, technical design, implementing complex code changes, unit testing, creating release artefacts, and maintaining applications post‑deployment. Uphold solution integrity by evaluating options for technical implementation and engaging with Architecture, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure and Product teams without compromising integrity, performance, scalability or reliability. Endorse new technologies, frameworks, and tools to improve development efficiency, and establish and maintain technical standards, guidelines and best practices across engineering phases. Assist in planning and implementation of software releases across environments, ensuring close adherence to Change Control processes, risk assessments and mitigation actions, and communication to relevant stakeholders. Understand and analyse interdependencies within complex systems, design and troubleshoot effectively, anticipating how changes impact other dependencies. Be part of a cross‑functional team, actively interacting with team members to deliver end‑to‑end solutions and add value to stakeholders. Communicate effectively, participate in project and BAU meetings, scrums, and contribute to team deliverables, ensuring efforts are aligned toward achieving team goals. What You Will Bring Must have 10+ years of engineering experience with Java, Spring Boot, Bash, Python, RDBMS, Enterprise Messaging, Java and Jboss EAP Exposure to AWS Analytics (Athena, Glue, Data Zone) Experience with event management, alerting and monitoring tools (ELK, Grafana) Familiarity with integration technologies including API, real‑time messaging and streaming architectures such as Kafka Understanding of cloud infrastructure concepts, virtualization, role‑based access, identity and access management framework, load balancers, firewalls and networking concepts Knowledge of application design principles for microservices, containerisation, API integration Experience with DevOps and Continuous Integration tools (GitLab, Nexus, SonarQube) Analytical and problem‑solving skills with curiosity to tackle complex or new problems Ability to adapt to changing priorities and switch between concurrent work streams Nice To Have Experience working in the Capital Markets industry with a solid understanding of product and transaction lifecycles Excellent verbal and written communication skills and ability to work with internal and external stakeholders Lateral thinker who brings forward ideas that automate repeatable tasks to reduce effort and ensure quality deliverables Quick learner who enjoys the challenge of learning new systems Compassionate, empathetic and self‑motivated with a continuous improvement mindset Ownership mentality and a willingness to acknowledge failure openly We offer flexible working arrangements, including hybrid options, and welcome applicants seeking part‑time or other flexible arrangements. #J-18808-Ljbffr
